For example, if you enjoy apple juice, you’ll love having a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice every morning. But orange juice is high in sugar, and people can only consume so much of it before they reach their limit. Using too many fruits in one’s juice will cancel out the benefits that each fruit brings on its own.

Using Too Much Sugar

Using too much sugar is also known as over-sweetening. Using the wrong type of fruits in your juice can result to an overpowering sweet flavor. Oftentimes, using less ripe fruits tend to yield a sweeter taste because they are higher in sugar content than their mature counterparts.

Not Drinking Juice on an Empty Stomach

Juice is absorbed more quickly by the body than solid foods. Not waiting for at least thirty minutes after a meal before drinking juice will result in too quick of absorption, which can cause stomach pains and other problems like indigestion, diarrhea, and other digestive disorders.

Juicing and smoothies are different. Smoothies do not remove fiber from the juice while juicing separates fiber from the liquid being extracted. Therefore, it is recommended to have a healthy smoothie instead of just adding some sugar-loaded fruit juices to one’s diet.
